ECOFAIRY GLITTER USES

Cosmetic Bioglitter™ PURE is suitable for bath and body applications including bath bombs, soaps and shower gels.

Being Aluminium free, Bioglitter™ PURE is suitable for use in liquid and solid soaps, normal glitters would fail.

Bioglitter™ in solid soap has an exfoliating action, the intensity of which is varied with the size of the glitter.

Bioglitter™ is globally cosmetic approved and therefore suitable for use in most colour cosmetic applications.

Its silky feel makes it a much more comfortable product to wear than equivalently sized plastic glitters.

Bioglitter™ is suitable for use on lips and with heat resistance to over 100^oC it can be processed into lipstick and lip gloss products.

In the USA aluminium containing glitters are cosmetically compliant for use on lips.  However, Cosmetic Bioglitter™ PURE is aluminium free and therefore compliant with FDA/USA cosmetic regulations for lip use.

Bioglitter™ is suitable for use in eye makeup and with heat resistance to over 100^oC it is suitable for processing into eye products such as cosmetic pencils.

Less than 150micron rule: The cosmetic industry observes a less than 150micron particle size rule around the eyes.  Therefore, according to this rule Bioglitter™ sizes, 006 (150micron) and 004 (100micron) are suitable for use around eyes.

Bioglitter™ is a precision cut product and all particles are the same size, unlike effect pigments such as micas or pearlescents which have a particle size distribution.

Cosmetic Bioglitter™ SPARKLE has limited solvent resistance and is not suitable for use in solvent based nail varnish.

 

Suitable for use in hair products. It’s softer properties make it less irritable than plastic glitters on the scalp.

Cosmetic™ Bioglitter is suitable to be used as a loose glitter with a fixative,  in a fixative gel for body art or in stick-on glitter tattoos.

Suitable to use loose with a fixative, Cosmetic Bioglitter™ can give the festival goer a subtle shimmer glow with smaller sizes or the ultimate ‘bling’ appeal with large sizes. Mixes of sizes and colours are extremely popular to obtain the ‘mermaid’ or ‘unicorn’ look!

Suitable for use in skin care products such as face masks and sun creams.

Suitable for use in professional makeup for the stage or big screen.

When fabrics printed with glitter are washed there is a chance that some could be shed during the washing process and enter the environment. Deco Bioglitter™ is perfect for use on fabric, can be flatbed screen, rotary screen and drop glitter printed.

Whatever the application. We always recommend Bioglitter™ is tested in formulation and application. The suitability of Bioglitter™ to be used in an application is the responsibility of the customer.  NOTE:  Bioglitter™ is not suitable for use in injection plastic molding.
